Profile last updated: 23 Aug 2023
I have taught flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder and piano to students of ages 5 to 70+ with rewarding results. I also have experience of the ABRSM syllabus for all woodwind instruments and have prepared students for these examinations up to Grade 8. Alongside technique and repertoire, I aim to introduce my students to relevant wider-listening that helps to broaden their general musicianship and aural ability.
I am a graduate flautist and woodwind doubler from the Royal Academy of Music, training for a career in flute performance. I have solo, concerti and orchestral experience and a repertoire ranging across various genres of music. As well as classical flute, I work as a woodwind doubler for musical theatre productions across London.
I am recipient of Highly Commended honours in the Jonathan Myall Piccolo Prize and have performed at the Aldeburgh Festival, Barbican and Royal Albert Hall with conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Ludovic Morlot and Alice Farnham. What I teach:
