Martin Stones

During a 31 year career as a professional musician with the British Army I've been very lucky to have travelled extensively worldwide and have met many musicians of all ages from many different backgrounds and cultures.

Part of my role as Principal Clarinet of 3 bands over a 20-year period was to teach, mentor and assist fellow colleagues and lead workshops when visiting music hubs, schools, colleges and universities. It’s always been my goal to help musicians reach their potential, while at the same time having enormous fun and having the opportunity to pass on my passion and enthusiasm for practicing, preparing for exams and performing to audiences.

By listening to the students’ aspirations, setting goals and enjoying the journey together, my aim is to make lessons challenging yet an enjoyable and rewarding experience, whether you are starting out on your musical journey or an advanced performer looking for a fresh outlook and further challenges.
