I have been teaching flute for 35 years at home and in schools. I like to keep my teaching fresh by attending regular music courses and researching musical publications.

I ensure that my teaching works for each student, adapting unique methods to suit each student's learning capabilities.

I like to make my lessons fun, enjoyable and inspiring using a variety of teaching practises including playing by ear, improvising, games, ideas, skills and using apps.

Lessons are student led. For example, working on specific issues or problems within pieces, learning to play certain styles of music & pieces or working towards GCSE performances or perfomances with bands.

I teach students with special needs: dyslexia, autism & blindness.
