Hi,
I am a very experienced and enthusiastic teacher and enjoy teaching both children and adults alike. I've had my own teaching practice for over 19 years now and have worked as a Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher for Leeds Art Forms. I also volunteered at my son's primary school for two years, teaching fife and flute to children in years 5 and 6.
I have a 100% pass rate for all of the instruments that I teach and for music theory. My pupils have received an average ABRSM exam mark of 125, which is well above the national average score of 118. 76% of my pupils have achieved a merit or above, with 42% gaining distinctions.
I teach flute/piccolo up to advanced level, music theory to grade 5, clarinet to grade 5/6 and alto saxophone to grade 7. I also teach mathematics and chemistry up to A Level.
I have a wealth of performing experience and enjoy working as a freelance pit musician. I also enjoy playing chamber music and perform regularly with the Meltemi Ensemble. What I teach:
