Hi,

I am a very experienced and enthusiastic teacher and enjoy teaching both children and adults alike. I've had my own teaching practice for over 23 years now and also work as a Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher for several schools in the Leeds area, including Ilkley Grammar School and Horsforth School and at Horsforth Music Centre.

I have a 100% pass rate for all of the instruments that I teach and for music theory. My pupils have received an average ABRSM exam mark of 125, which is well above the national average score of 118. 76% of my pupils have achieved a merit or above, with 42% gaining distinctions.

I teach flute/piccolo up to advanced level, music theory to grade 5, clarinet to grade 5/6 and alto saxophone to grade 8.

I have a wealth of performing experience and enjoy working as a freelance pit musician. I also play with The Airedale Symphony Orchestra, Leeds Haydn Players and the Yorkshire Saxophone Choir.
