Erin Smith

Hello! My name is Erin and I'm a flute and teacher based in Northern Ireland. I graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a Master of Arts in Flute Performance (Distinction), where I studied with Wissam Boustany and Anna Noakes, specialising in the performance of the contemporary classical and modernist repertoire. Prior to this I studied Music at the University of Manchester, graduating with a first class degree.

My aim is to ensure that lessons are enjoyable and dynamic, with progression at a pace that suits each individual student. I value exposing students to the full range of the classical repertoire, encouraging them to discover their passion for a particular style. If the student wishes, lessons can be tailored towards preparing for ABRSM or Trinity College London exams. I can also help prepare students for GCSE or A Level performances, or alternatively, help develop the necessary techniques for students to play music of their choice.
