At 17 I joined the army as a musician and I have performed in many parts of Europe playing for ceremonial duties, concerts for Royalty, international football matches, yachts, Embassies and marching displays on Naval ships. I spent a year at the Royal Military School of Music, and was awarded a 'Parchment' for exceptional proficiency on the flute and where I began composing and arranging music. Since leaving the army, I have developed my musical career; I have a Teaching Diploma from Trinity College London, a Diploma in Music and B.A.(Hons) from The O. U. and a Cert. Ed from The University of Brighton.
I specialise in teaching flute, bass guitar, theory and composition at all levels. I teach A level music at Worthing College specialising in composition. I enjoy conducting and directing ensembles for West Sussex Music and compose and arrange pieces for these.
