I currently teach at the Royal Academy of Music (Junior Department), City of London School for Girls and Wellington College, Berkshire.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, I hold a Master of Arts with distinction, as well as the LRAM diploma in teaching practice and pedagogical theory. I have a teaching philosophy rooted in enjoyment of playing and a strong grasp of technical fundementals, so that students are free to express themselves musically. I work with students towards a mutual goal (graded exams, scholarship auditions, performances, personal enjoyment) and incorporate aural skills and theory into my lessons. I also often accompany students on the piano.
Being an active performer, I have been invited to perform with leading UK ensembles and orchestras including the Royal Opera House, Philharmonia, BBC Concert Orchestra, The Halle and London Musical Theatre Orchestra for West End shows. I have recorded for BBC TV, Apple TV, Netflix and BBC Radio.
