Ami Lodge has been teaching both for Surrey Arts and privately since she finished her undergraduate studies in Music with German at Royal Holloway in 2008.
Ami is also an active performer, freelancing amongst various orchestras and ensembles and performing solo recitals in London and the surrounding area. Ami completed her Masters studies in Performance at Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance under the instruction of the Royal Opera House principal Margaret Campbell, where she was a winner of the Harold Clark Woodwind Soloists competition and also received the Michael Hirst award for Trinity flautists for her orchestral contributions. She has since taken part in the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme and the Emerging Artists Scheme with the Westminster Opera Company.
Ami works with both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exam syllabuses, as well as giving a large focus to the development of sight-reading and ensemble skills, all informed with music theory and aural.What I teach:
