Jazz Flute Big Band - UK
Billed as Jazz Flute Big Band--International when we appeared at the London Jazz Festival, the project is a concept that spawns ensembles while attracting arrangements from top-quality jazz and world music composers worldwide. A great draw at flute conventions (BFS, NFA) for classical players interested in learning to master jazz phrasing and improvisation, members receive training in our educational packages and empowered to offer them to conservatories and school districts.
We have ensembles in London and Liverpool and expect to start one in Birmingham shortly. There is also interest in Italy, Ireland, Israel, Brazil . . . If are interested in forming an ensemble, can put together 8 or 9 flutists and a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums) or would like to expand the capabilities of your flute choir, contact us and we will help you get started.
