We have an opportunity for a Woodwind Consultant to join our sales team in Croydon, on a part-time, permanent contract, working Saturdays plus one other day.
Our reputation as a leading provider of flutes and woodwind instruments in the UK makes us a go-to destination for flute and woodwind players, and our unique location in South London attracts many international customers. The work environment is varied, and offers a great opportunity to get started and network within the music business.
This is primarily a customer-facing role. Our showroom is a busy environment, and the ideal candidate will be a great communicator. Whether it be in-person, by phone or by email, you must be able to engage with new customers by offering excellent, personalised advice in choosing the right instrument or accessories, as well as being able to cultivate our ongoing relationships with our loyal customer base.
Administration will also form an important part of your duties, and the ideal candidate will also be confident navigating diverse IT systems, such as when processing finance applications and approvals, as well as creating insurance valuations and adding listings to our website.
We are increasingly attending flute events, and there will be the possibility of travelling within the UK and internationally to flute days, courses, music trade shows and conferences. Working in a small team, you will have the flexibility to carry out other tasks as required, as well as to communicate effectively with colleagues. An eye for detail and the ability to work swiftly and accurately under pressure are essential.

Dispatch Assistant (Full- or Part-Time)

A position has become available in our busy Dispatch department for a Dispatch Assistant. This is a role in a thriving department with administrative and some customer-facing elements.
Our reputation for expert friendly service, efficient processing and extensive range of stock makes Just Flutes the go-to for many musicians, especially flute players, the world over. You will be working as part of a fun, close-knit team to fulfil orders, from the point that they are placed through picking, processing and packing.
The role can be 4 or 5 days per week spread over Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday as needed.
Our Dispatch department is a seasonally busy environment, and the ideal candidate will be good at managing their time and remaining cool at busy times. You will be computer savvy, have an eye for detail, as well as a great communicator. As a musician with a love for the subject, you’ll let this passion show through when assisting email and phone customers with order queries, and – with your colleagues across departments – with their purchasing decisions.

Intern - Social Media

We’re looking for an intern on a 6-month basis, to assist with our social media output.
Our intern will gain experience of:
- Researching, creating and posting social media content to increase engagement
- Increasing follower growth rate
- Keeping up with latest trends
- Working with influencers to promote the Just Flutes brand
- Reporting and analysing results against Key Performance Indicators
To apply, please select and complete any two of the following tasks.
- Suggest two types of social media content you would want Just Flutes to explore, and how you would capitalise on them.
- Pick two posts from any of our social media output over the last three months, and critique them. Explain how you might have written the content differently and anything else you would have changed.
- Create two imaginary posts illustrating how Lizzo could continue to help expand interest in the flute.
- Suggest a social media competition, and explain how it would work.
