Take It Away

Take It Away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music. The scheme allows individuals to apply for a loan for the purchase of a musical instrument and pay it back in nine monthly instalments completely interest free.

Take it Away loans are available to UK residents who are aged between 18 and 25 or who are purchasing an instrument for someone under the age of 18-years-old.

The key features of Take It Away are:

Loans available of between £100 and £2,000 for the purchase or part purchase of any kind* of musical instrument.
Pay a 10% deposit then spread the balance over nine monthly instalments completely interest free.
Loans can be arranged either in store or by mail-order.
The scheme is open to UK residents aged 18-25, but is primarily designed to help people who might otherwise be unable to afford to purchase an instrument appropriate to their needs.
