General Condition
In good overall condition. There are some minor dents and marks on the tube, and a line in the tube where this headjoint has been fitted in the past. The hallmark dates this headjoint from 1969.
About Flutemakers Guild
The Flutemakers Guild was founded in 1961 as the result of a number of craftsmen breaking away from a very famous flutemaking firm that was being absorbed by a larger organisation. The Guild was formed to continue the tradition of making flutes in the way of the fine British flutes of earlier years. They felt that the individuality needed in order to produce a handmade flute of the highest quality would be lost when the heavy hand of "big business" took over.
