Tango de los Flamencos
- Interesting, worth a look
In the late 19th century the cante hondo (deep song), a highly emotional and tragic song cultivated among Spanish prisoners, was adopted by Spanish Gypsies under the name, "cante flamenco", who made it even more florid and expressive. Spanish ornamentation, florid melodic lines and a unique blend of pop culture contribute to the innovative instrumental style of this work.
