Robert Groslot has an elusive approach to writing and here he uses flute and harp to great effect. In Misterioso the melody is accompanied by sotto voce semiquavers. After a florid interlude the roles are reversed. Vivace is all about the interplay between the parts, and Barcarolle has a languid flute tune over some strange chords. The style won't suit everyone, but it's certainly unusual - and a real performance challenge.
