Perpetual Pavan for Alto Flute and Guitar, Op 17
From the Publisher
Dreamily evocative, this contemporary British music recalls the mood of a pavan, the stately, unhurried 16th/17th century dance form common to lute music of the time. The composition is based on a simple principle of accumulation that provides a gradual, slowly building process that supports a lyrical alto flute part.
