“Good quality but a little bit too long”
Well constructed and non-shedding pad saver, very soft and fluffy. Currently nicely snuggled inside my practise piccolo, the unfortunate thing being that I purchased it with my concert piccolo in mind (Yamaha YPC91) but it is ever so slightly longer than the body of the piccolo so the little rubber bits protruding slightly at each end mean my piccolo won't fit in the case with the pad saver inside. Something to consider if you have a piccolo with a similarly snug case lining.

Hannah, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Piccolo bodies vary between makes, so some are shorter than others. HW are careful not to make the pad saver so short that you couldn't get to it from either end in a longer piccolo! If your pad saver is a little long, you can unscrew the rubber cap, clip the pad saver with some pliers, and rescrew the rubber cap. It's not ideal, but it is a solution.
“Piccolo Pad Saver”
I also bought this for my piccolo, which is a Yamaha 61, and it doesn't fit inside for storage, and barely fits through it to wipe it out after practice. Not of use for wooden piccolos.
“Not Great”
I have a Gemienhardt 4P (plastic body and head) and a 4RSP (silver plated body and head) and this item does not fit in either of these piccolos. It came brand new, never used, with my 4P and I am glad I didn't make the mistake of purchasing this on my own. Maybe the manufacturer could mark on the packaging which piccolos their pad saver actually fits in. I've gone back to my old reliable: rag and rod.
