Sophia Saunders-Jones

In addition to teaching, I play with orchestras and chamber ensembles across the midlands and Wales and particularly enjoy the exhilaration of soaring above the orchestra on her piccolo. I have also performed Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. My teachers have included Andrew Lane, Mindy Kaufman and Keith Underwood. I have a Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, from New York University.

My students have included four year olds and adults in their seventies. I have taught new beginners of all ages and flute students beyond grade 8. I have also taught numerous piano students through early intermediate repertoire.

I tailor lessons to each individual student's goals and learning style. I offer both Suzuki and traditional style flute lessons. I believe that everyone can develop confidence, perseverance and self expression through lessons.
