More About Me
My Qualifications: Please see below!
Completing a Masters from Royal College of Music. Studying Performance Science has given me a great understanding of the psychology of music: managing performance anxiety; musician health and wellbing; and the different stages of learning undertaken by children. I have found this especially helpful with young children and adults- both of which I have had a great deal of experience teaching.
I have a flute diploma, Grade 5 clarinet, Grade 8 recorder and Grade 8 theory with distinction, due to take my FRSM and teaching diploma later this year. I have taught into the higher grades for all these instruments and have brought many individuals up to a Grade 5 standard within a year.
I am a current performer who has a special interest in Contemporary music and performs with small chamber ensembles. I take great interest in the interests of my students and always aim to approach lessons in a way that would suit what they hope to get out of their tuition.
