Ellie Blamires

Hello! I'm Ellie, a freelance professional flautist and teacher based in London. I've been teaching students of all ages and abilities, individually and in schools, for a number of years. My performing career has taken me all over the world, with orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia. I also teach for the Music in Secondary School's Trust, coaching the woodwind section of their Saturday Music Academy Orchestra.

I'm a kind, engaging and methodical teacher, and give my students a firm technical foundation while encouraging the development of wider contextual knowledge where relevant.

I studied at the University of Oxford and Royal Academy of Music, and can help students in their preparation for admission to conservatoire or university.
