Elaine McPherson

I did my undergraduate Music Performance degree in Edinburgh, have a Masters of Music degree from the University of Tennessee where I also won the coveted position of Flute Teaching Assistant. Since returning to Scotland in the early 2000’s, I have taught and still teach at several private schools, have a busy private teaching studio and perform regularly. I do expect my pupils to commit to a regular practice schedule, as this will allow us to make the most of our time together in lessons and make good progress. Many of my pupils do very well at music competition festivals and music exams, however, if this is not the direction that a certain pupil wishes to go down that is equally fine with me as long as they enjoy playing and practice what I teach.
