Alicia Steanson

Hello! My name is Alicia Steanson and I am a professional flautist and teacher based in London. I can teach from home, online or if it is easier I can travel to you. After 6 years of studying music as a specialist musician at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset, performing as a soloist and with various chamber ensembles, the flute has now found me residing in London during my final year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. In recent years, I have discovered the rewarding nature of teaching and am looking for students. As a teacher, I will provide structured, individually-tailored lessons that will suit the needs of each flautist. I will work within the requirements of the ABRSM and Trinity grade systems depending on which stage they are at with their flute playing, with a focus on technique, repertoire, performance skills and music theory. I am willing to take on flautists of any level and hope to learn from my students to gain a better understanding of the art of teaching.
