Facilities
Built
150 years ago as a private residence, Woldingham house has been a
girls' school since 1946. The building is surrounded by
farmland
and unspoilt countryside in a picturesque valley of the North Downs. It
is only 16 miles (20km) south of central London. Trains are frequent
and selected trains will be met on arrival.
Woldingham School lies in its own 700-acre valley of outstanding
natural beauty. The farmland and woods are home to multitudes of wild
animals such as rabbits and badgers, foxes and deer; the bird-life is
varied and fascinating, and many varieties of plants and wild flowers,
some extremely rare, flourish in the chalky soil.
The geographical setting encourages the feeling of community, and there
is always space enough for everyone. Sometimes it feels almost
literally, "out-of-this-world", in its own serene
and
peaceful corner – yet only 16 miles from the centre of London!
