Touching the Ether is one of Ian's atmospheric pieces, in the style of Orange Dawn and Spiral Lament. So, you will need to be up on finger vibrato, bends and smears and appropriate tone colour as well as have a freedom of rhythm to produce an effective performance. You will certainly feel it's worth the effort though, as this is another very beautiful work.
