From the composer:
The authentic folk music from China West has amazed me and inspired me to write this piece which has folk music elements drawn from the solo pieces Shange Diao and Nai Gou Hou, pitch material sung in the folk song Ashima, the folk song Duo Duo and the sound effect of the Lusheng ensemble playing of the Maio People.
