 Just Flutes Description
The MC-7’s frequency response range of 50Hz-15kHz makes it perfect to use with all woodwind and brass instruments. This high-quality microphone accurately reproduces the tone of the instrument and is great for use in performance and recording situations where microphone placement is problematic.
Two non-scratch clips - one large, one small - provide easy attachment to a variety of instruments. The flexible neck allows you to precisely alter the positioning of the microphone for the best results. A specially designed attachment system isolates the microphone from mechanical sounds produced by the instrument allowing the microphone to capture only the tone.
What else do you need?
The Yamaha MC-7 is a high quality condenser microphone, and requires a 5~10V phantom power source. A few appliances have phantom power built in; however for most amplifiers, you will probably need a pre-amp, and for this, either the Yamaha ST-9 Personal Studio or ST-5 Digital Effects System are perfect.
You may also need cables to attach the pre-amp to the line-in on your amplifier as these aren't included with the pre-amp.
