We have invested in the technology that enables you to send us your credit/debit card details, securely, via our internet site. The technology we are using is safer than giving your credit card to a waiter in a restaurant...
We despatch orders to customers all over the world on a daily basis, and we have found that using a credit/debit card is the simplest way to arrange payment for goods and services that we provide. It is fast, efficient and any hassles of "exchange rates" are handled by your card issuing company. The debit that we apply to your card is converted into your local currency at the current exchange rate on the day they process the transaction.
All prices shown on our website are in GBP (pounds sterling). You can calculate an approximate value in other currencies using: The Universal Currency Converter™
There are three "checkout options" to choose from when you click on the "shopping cart" icon.
When you choose the first option, your "Shopping Cart" is loaded via "Secure Sockets Layer" (SSL for short). Your web browser is then connected directly to our secure server. You can see the connection is secure by looking at the padlock or key icon at the bottom of your browser. You'll also note the address in the URL bar starts https:// rather than just http://. Your browser may also warn you that you are connecting to a secure server, and if so it will also tell you when you are closing the secure connection once you have submitted your order. These "warnings" are for your information only. Currently, only the first "check out" option is loaded via SSL as this is the only option which requests sensitive data.
Our secure server then communicates with your browser using SSL, so that all the personal information you send (including your credit or debit card details, name and address etc.), is encrypted, a process which takes the words and figures you type and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet. In the highly unlikely event that someone were to intercept the email that contained your card details, a card number starting: 5434 1234 would look something like this: QT')GZ#He -- which would be useless!
Once we have received the data and decrypted it to process your order, all your details are stored away from the Internet - in an encrypted form. Our secure system cannot be "hacked" into and only our Authorised Personnel have access to this system. It is not connected to the Internet in any way.
Browser Compatibility If you are using a Version 3 or earlier browser, you might get a warning that the Licence has expired. This is not a cause for concern. It simply means that the certificate supplied with your browser has expired. It does not mean our licence has expired!
