Why use our rental scheme?
For many parents, the initial outlay of a really good quality instrument can persuade them away from buying one, usually because they are unsure whether their child will stick at it.
Low quality instruments - which are within easy financial reach - are usually a false economy (see our article here). Better quality instruments, on the other hand, are easier to play, more reliable, and have a better re-sale value. A good instrument can really encourage a beginner when they're starting out, while bad instruments are often harder to play and can be demoralising - not what your child needs.
Our scheme means that your child can try an instrument to see whether it's what they want to play, without having to commit to a purchase. All instruments on our rental scheme are made by major manufacturers who are known for their excellent quality and design.
How does the scheme work?
We have partnered with MIFCO Leasing and Finance Ltd to offer our customers a low cost way of purchasing a quality student instrument.
All instruments on the rental scheme are brand new and fully set up in our workshop, to ensure that your child gets the best possible start. This scheme is open to anyone over 18 years-old, subject to status.
To get started, you make an initial payment plus a small insurance charge. The remaining 17 payments are collected by MIFCO Leasing and Finance Ltd each month by direct debit. After 18 months the instrument becomes yours and there are no further payments to make.
If you wish to return the instrument at any point during the 18 month period you can do so at any time after the first four months. The instruments must be in good condition (normal wear and tear accepted). Your payments to MIFCO will cease once we have agreed to take the instrument back†.
† We are not legally obliged to an accept an instrument back under this scheme. You must maintain the instrument and ensure it is kept in good condition throughout the duration of the agreement.
