Malcolm Arnold's Flute Concerto No.2 was first performed by Richard Adeney and the English Chamber Orchestra on 28th June 1973 at The Maltings, Snape, as part of the 26th Aldeburgh Festival. A relatively short work, it consists of three movements: Allegro moderato, Vivace and Allegretto.
