Eleven Pieces for Clarinet in C

This album responds to the need for useful core material for the clarinet in C further to the introduction of the instrument into the Associated Board's woodwind examinations syllabus in 1992. Selected items from New Pieces for Clarinet have been transposed and adapted for the instrument, including the popular 'Bolney Ballad' by Kenneth Jones and Timothy Baxter's 'Early Bird', and some newly commissioned pieces have been added by Michael Rose. The appealing variety of rhythms, styles and moods and the progressive introduction of new technical accomplishments through the volume will provide invaluable repertoire-building material for teachers.
